sbc355 in my 76 Nova?

sbc355 in my 76 Nova? i plan on building a nice street/strip car out of my newly acquired 76 Nova 2door.
it already has a 350/th350 combo in it. a friend of mine has a sbc 355 he got built for his camaro,(well he sold the car and needs to get rid of the motor)
specs on motor: SBC 355 4 bolt main, 78 block. A lunati cam, Lunati litters. ported and polished L98 heads Block is bored 30 over. Needs to be completed. needs timing gear and chain.
he offered it to me for $1000.oo
would this make a good heart for my 76?
