S-10 Header help

S-10 Header help Okay, I have shorties on my s-10 there are only 1 3/8th and its starting to kill me on the HP.
See i have the problem with the 1984 s-10 and 1979 350, The steering rod has to go threw the headers, I would like somthing that makes it alot easier to change spark plugs and to open up the diameter.
I have to use the shortie spark plugs and that really limits me because there are own like a hand full of them so i can change the temp.
What I'm asking is What size Diameter should I go up too? and Any suggestions, I'd like to stay as cheap as I can and brand is not a matter to me. I like wal-mart brand at this point.
The truck is pushing 415 N/A and a little more with the fresh 383, Push a 125 shot of Juice. and 3" pipes out the back.
OH! and what do you think of Borla on this enigine? Yay or nay? I have 40 series slowmasters now.

I'm trying to save for the headers because i know a good pair for the size I'm looking for, is probly gonns run me like $500-$900
I was just thinking borla mufflers because The slowmaster are just blah to me lol and I've heard some mustangs and newer gms with them and they sound mean. I was just wondering if I would get that sound.
