Valve Springs shims question ??? im in the process to reassemble my cylinder heads for my new build, now im a bit confused of where the VS shims r suppose to be positioned, should they be placed under the VS locator or on top of the locator, just in between the spring and locator

Put the shims under the locator. The locator is harder than the shim and it will keep shim material from being abraded into the oil by the spring.
