Default sbc 350 hp??

how much hp will my 4th gen camaro have?
its got:
sbc 350 bored 30 over w/new pistons
pacesetter shorties with 3in true duals
msd distributors and wires
edelbrock performer cam, intake and carb
turbo 350 trans w/b&m shift kit, shifter, and converter
i dont think i forgot anything...

so how much hp?!

To me 350hp sounds pretty close, with good tune I would guess you run low 12's with good 60ft.

Are we talking to the tire or crank? To the tire I doubt it will hit 350.

yes we are talking to the crank. o and the car has 243 rear gears does that make the quarter slower? i am familiar with quater mile times but my town only has 1/8 mile what would it run there?

its really not going to be that much,

A: you have an out of box cam and you didn't list specs, but edelbrock performers tend to be lower.

B: you didn't list roller or flat tappet

C: shorties are just going to kill you on hp but will give you tq.

D: Single or dual plane intake

E: size of carburetor

F: are you using an msd box or an HEI distributor.

All of these have huge factors as to what generates horsepower. I've seen 355's range from 250whp up to mid 400's on motor. I'm personally building a 434 that should put me around 700hp at crank for my third gen.

It looks like he is using the performer package which means:

1. The specs of the cam are 204/214 420/442 112

2. All the cams in the performer setups are flat tappet.

3. At his power level you probably won't see much difference from LT to shorties. If he steps up with heads big cam and single plane intake then yes LT's all the way.

4. Intake is dual plane

5. All the carbs are 600 cfm.

6. At his power level, an MSD box is probably not needed right now. He can get away with an HEI with a stepped up coil in the cap.

With that 350 at the crank is probably close to where he is at, but not at the rear wheels.

Yeah,

I agree 350hp at the crank is very possible
with his setupo. 15-20% drop at the rear wheels
depending on the drive train combination.

Your probably looking at 325-350 hp. I might have missed it, but what is the compression ratio and what heads are on it?

thats pretty much right! except carb is 650. and yes its an hei distributor. o and the reason for the shorties is becuase i used the v6 kmember so the mounts are rigged up and there is little clearance so i think i might get custom lts. So what will it run in the 1/8 and 1/4 mile??

What heads? Good flowing heads make a world of difference compared to crappy ones. Also, have you got any idea what compression ratio you have? Again, it makes a world of difference.

i dont know the compression and they are the stock heads. i plan on getting a set of vortecs this summer tho!
