what is necessary to replace a roller block with a flat tappet???
what is necessary to replace a roller block with a flat tappet??? For my boat that is. It has an 01 Chevy 350 roller Vortec style engine in it. I bought a rebuilt bottom end from a guy that swore it was a roller engine, and come to find out it is not. I guess I got a brain fart when I looked at it and didnt think to pull a lifter out to see. He seemed pretty knowlegeable so I kinda took his word for it.
What do I have to do to make it work?
This is the second attempt at this(first complete engine has a dead cylinder) and I need it in the water soon, I have vacation coming up and dont wanna be working on this damn thing during that time.
