Unhappy 650 holley double pump

I got a 650 double pump holley carb from a swap meet, was told that it had been rebuilded. when checking it out, I found that as I put gas in the front bowl through the overflow tube, the gas comes out of the bottom of the carb. The front bowl will not hold gas in it. The back bowl is ok. I can see new gaskets on it.

Are there any suggestion on what need to be done to this carp to make work properly.

Either your floats are set wrong or the needle and seat are stuck. Try tapping the screw looking thing on top of the bowls, if that doesnt work set your floats. Tons of guides on how to do that. Google

Could also be a blown power valve, but you'll have to pull primary power valve out and suck on it to know for sure..

Take the bowl off and check the gaskets. They are easy to work on and if need new gaskets get the blue reuseable ones.

They sell these at your average auto parts store (autozone, discount/advance, pep boys) They work great.

Yes if the fuel is coming out of the bottom of the bowl itself you need to remove the bowl take your time and look it over and figure out why. If the fuel is coming out of the accelerator pump ( the square part on the bottom of the bowl that has the arm sticking off of it) then you will need a new accelerator pump diaphram. Carbs aren't all that hard to figure out you can do it. Might be something simple as a piece of old gasket that didn't get removed when being rebuilt. People can be careless.
