peak hp does the cam duration dictate where the horsepower peak is?
I ran 13.2 when I dyno'd my car it made 337hp rear wheel hp@5440rpm
I now run 12.25 only thimg I've changed is I pulled 70lbs of wieght between me and the car, freed up hp with electric water pump, fans, and ram air duct to the carb.
so if I'm thinking correctly I should still peak @ 5400rpm but I've freed up more usable hp.
reason I'm wondering because I'm triing to select a new rear gear that matches my peak hp.

I'd go with 4.10's now. You will probably cross the line at roughly 6200. The engine should be able to hold on to that RPM. I would shift at about 6000RPM if peak was 5500RPM.
I cross at 6400 with a 26.5" tire, same trans and a 3600 stall. I switched from 3.73's and it wasn't a huge RPM increase. Car likes it, but I could use a higher stall (4500 would be about perfect).
