is a zz4 a good motor ot should i built a motor myself.

I can tell you from experience, that it is about as cheap to buy a motor.

It is an ok motor for the power it makes but you can build one that makes more power for the same amount or less. It's really just a 350 with cam and corvette L98 aluminum heads. The crank is forged though, if I remember right.

Its a great motor and about the same price as a rebuild but its comes together already so less work to do.

Good motor, but have noticed that the 345hp rating is a pipe dream - never seen anyone get close to that HP just bolting one in - probably a 315 hp motor as is... But if you want to change the cam and port (or change heads), they can put out great power - but you lose the warranty...
