400 sbc build help hey guys i just got a low mile 400 sbc out of a van and was wondering if i put my vortec 906 heads and a comp xe 284 cam in it edelbrock air gap intake, 750 holley, how much power would i be looking at.........and possible 1/4 mile times in a 86 iroc-z

Make sure the Vortech heads chambers are compatible with your pistons - you don't want compression ratios way too low or way too high.
400 is a weird beast - it needs more cam than you might think and can use larger cc heads without total destruction of the bottom end. Vortech heads will give you a boatload of TQ if they don't screw up the compression...
