Default sbc missing after a few upgrades

I just did a few upgrades to my motor and transmission and now its missing from about 1500 to 2500 rpm when held there steady. When I go wot the miss seems to go away and it runs good and strong. Is this a timing issue? Maybe the wrong advance springs? Initial timing is set to 12 btdc and I have the 2 blue (light) springs in the distributer.

Heads are AFR 195cc

Cam Lunati Voodoo 284/292 .525" .546"
Lunati 1.6 roller rockers

Ignition system is MSD 6AL, pro billet distributer, blaster 2 coil, and 8.5 msd super wires

a cam that big will not smooth out till after roughly 2500 rpm. what is the duration @ .050"?

I locked my Pro Billet out and set the timing a full advance and it ran much better, i wish i would of done it sooner.

241 249 at .050 It smooths out better than I thought. Its smooth down the road and then when I slow down to take a corner or something it misses some bringing the rpms back up. and also in first gear if I hold it steady right before it shifts to second it will be missing.

Sounds like possible rich misfire down low if it's doing what you say when slowing and then pulling away. Try putting one heavier spring in with the light blue to slow the curve down a little and experiment. It'll at least maybe get better or worse to see which way to go.

On the other hand, 12 initial isn't much advance for a cam that size so ????

What stop bushing are you running in it for you total and what's the static compression?
