Heads/Crank Question So my grandfather who is around 60 has a whole shelf of 305-454 heads and cranks just sitting outside. Theyre starting to get rusty and i'd like to have them cleaned up for future use if possible. He's also got engine blocks just sitting up town in our family shop that are starting to rust. What would it cost to have a pair of heads, a crank, and a block cleaned up?
You should honestly go through and just spray everything with wd40 and wrap everything with plastic. That should stop rust for a while until u r ready to use the parts. No sense in having everything machined just to sit there and rust away again.
