Help. Popping
Help. Popping Need a little bit of fast help. Replaced the valve cover gaskets and cleaned the plug wires on my 81 CJ (SBC 350 conversion) and now I am getting a loud pop. Its hard to tell but it sounds like its coming out of the exhaust so I am thinking spark or timing related (fingers crossed)
The pop seems to be timed like it is missing on one cylinder. The jeep seems to still start easy and doesn't seem to be running rough. As RPM's increase the miss increases.
I am heading down to the parts store to grab 8 new plugs since the old ones have definitely serviced long enough and will probably gap at .045. The ignition is MSD dizzy and 8mm taylor wires.
