454 Engine Rebuild Problems
Rebuilding my Gen V 454, been running into some problems that are just frustrating me.

First it started with buying a used engine off of ebay for under $500, pictures looked good, and was described as around 50k miles but sat for awhile. Bad idea lol
Turned out it had a spun bearing on the crank and was rebuilt in the past. Since it was bored .40 over.
Had the block aligned bored and cleaned up. Ended up having to get a reman crankshaft (wouldve bought new but on a budget)
Now on to my current situation, Crankshaft wont turn when i torque down the main caps. Plastigage is .001-.0015. It turns just fine with the caps off and also, but stiffer when tightened (but not torqued to spec).
Bearings are correct size, doubled check those and checked them again lol
Main caps are in the correct place and facing the right way, I numbered them when i took them off and they have the arrow casting. Pretty idiot proof. but just in case ive also checked those.
3 bearings show shiny marks of where the crank is touching, its directly at the parting line.
Dont believe its a bent crank, as it turns evenly with no sticking point when i turn it. Possible something got outa wack during the line bore?
Any options or suggestions i could do.
Thought about sanding down the bearings at the parting line little by little until it was able to turn, But i don't believe that would be the right thing to do.
Thanks!
next problem, Broke 1 piston ring :/. any body know where to get either a single ring kit for 1 piston or 1 ring? contacted summit and they dont offer anything. dont really want to buy another kit for all 8. and have 99% complete kit left over.
