Engine rattling/vale clatter during acceleration I have a problem with my 1968 Chevrolet Camaro (327, standard model). One day, the car was running fine, and the next it began to run like crap. Whenever I give it torque, an incessant clattering noise comes from the engine. I have tried readjusting the timing chain, readjusting the timing, replacing the spark plugs and spark plug wires, replacing the distributor, using SeaFoam to help burn carbon off the pistons, readjusting the valve springs, and draining the tank and replacing the fuel, but nothing seems to work. I think my Carter AFB carburetor may need rebuilt, I may need to manually clean the pistons, or rebuild the heads. Can anyone help?

A video really would help, lol. Anyhoo' Pull valve cover and look for broken valve spring. Also wiggle rocker arms, Ive had them split at the rocker ball before. How did you adjust the timing chain, Ive never heard of that. It may have jumped a tooth on the cam gear if it still has nylon gear. If so, timing chain and gear must be replaced ASAP!
