come tax time I'll be pulling the trigger on all new suspension/chassis parts for a car ive been messing with and the idea of stuffing a BBC in there is really tempting. You guys are out of Tampa right? Where's the event you mention I would love to see the car in action. 2 hrs away must be Orlando speed world I haven't been there in forever but I think they still tnt fri/sat nights

Correct, we are in Tampa. I am actually from Lakeland, which is where the car is. So it's about 2 hours either direction to OSW or Bradenton. The Cash Days event is run at OSW once a month and is a big no prep race. The next one is December 17th so I plan to have it out for that

Nice BBC swap. Have you completed it yet? How does it perform?

Any updates, maybe some vids? Would you mind keeping us informed when you will have the car out again? I would make the trip to Orlando to see this in person. Seriously contemplating this and swapping the ls1/6 speed into the C3. Have a Dana that could be swapped in easier to the Camaro and preserve the IRS in the C3.

Sorry guys I haven't worked on it much lately. My daughter was born very prematurely a couple of months ago and we have spent a lot of time at the hospital and getting things settled with her. Car has been sitting for a few months now without being touched much. I hope to have some updates soon

Ohh, so sorry to hear that. I hope everything goes well. I can't imagine going through something like that, we took our kids home the next day after birth....

That's a little bit of a priority there. Best of luck to all three of you.

In the first post Eric states, and show's he had room to fit his aftermarket pan in. There's more than one BBC oil pan out there.

The only fitment issue I have seen is with this customer's combo. He has a tall deck Dart Big M 632 with a Moroso deep front pan. He was still able to make it work by spacing the motor mounts upwards. You can see in these pictures the spacing that needed to be made up

it takes a big pan to contain a 4.750 crank ...thanks for the insight.

OMG! Got a pic of the engine bay? There must have been some serious cutting to get that in a 4th gen!

Also I hear these big blocks sit further back towards the firewall. I'm guessing bolting up the T56 would be out of the question?

Unfortunately, that was all he sent me of it.

The engine sits in stock location, so a t-56 would be very do-able (and quite fun)

A little more interesting info here form some changes I have made. The $175 e-bay BBC forward facing turbo headers are a CLOSE but perfect fit. They happen to land just above the frame rails and just below the strut towers. I had trouble finding some that I hoped would fit that weren't $1500. That's a big risk on headers I may have to cut up or modify still. I figured $175 would be a more reasonable gamble, and got lucky. They bolted in with no modification
