Default BBC roots blower suggestions

Gents, as the title suggests, I'm looking for suggestions for a big block Chevy suitable for a roots blower. I think.

First thing, I'm in the USA for 2 months, before I go back to the UK (I'm at Camp Lejuene, NC).

Ideally, I want ~800hp on pump gas. But... The motor has to be cool. That's the main priority here. It will be an every day motor, so nothing delicate or too likely to go bang.

As far as I see it, I can either go for something like a 572ci NA motor, or a 502ci with a roots blower. I don't fancy turbos and I don't fancy a pro-charger.

Also, which is easier to set up and keep running - EFI or carbs?

Any suggestions are more than welcome. Preferably I'd like a built system to take home - less hassle getting parts and farting around. I don't mind bolting on the blower, so long as there are kits with all the parts.

Finally, if you do have suggestions, could you post up the websites where I can check them out.

Default Roots bbc efi

Hi Chaz, I have done BBC with Roots (BDS) and EFI, MY ECU-882C with CNP DIS.

The marine world and some Pro-mods have been common.

I know the best camshaft design (Crower Cams) a custom for your needs.(to be stated)

I am not sure about your needs, costs ?

You MAY want to speak to Andy Frost (Red Victor) for my reference in England.

not a huge fan of the roots blow as they are hard to keep cool on the street

I know you are not a fan of the procharger, but they are much more streetable, efficient, and will support your power goals better

in addition on the big motor, they ramp up the power in a more controllable and linear fashion.

I have an m3 marine procharger that flows plenty for this hp leval

at 10-12 psi you will have a very reliable combo that will spank out some big torq

if you change your mind and want to go proocharger, PM me.

A good blower motor isn't cheap. But these guys have been doing them right for years.
