Transmission Hey guys, so I’ve got a 1995 z28, and pretty sure my transmission is done, when I’m in 3rd it acts like a neutral and same with 4th too. I’ve got a 383 stroker with a 700r4 transmission Hooked up to it that I am planning on swapping into the camaro, and was wondering is the 700r4 transmission a good one? Or should I use a turbo 300 or th350? I plan to use this car for drag racing and street stuff. Thanks guys
the 700r4 can be good, how much power are you going to be trying to get it to hold? You have to have the TV cable set up perfectly or you'll burn up a 700 in very short order, like 5-10 miles short. If it's a drag/street car I'd go with a well built 350. I have a 350 in my car and love it.
