need help deciding on a turbo

need help deciding on a turbo LQ4 408 stroker but cant figure out what turbo to run. want to reach 1000hp in an 02 silverado ext cab rwd. was going to run a 98mm vs racing turbo but seemed to be abit much. any recommendations? thanks!!

Is your goal to do this on pump gas? 98mm is definitely more than you'll need. What's your cam and head specs? Stock bottom end w/ gapped rings on the 6.0 that went into my s10 made 1100 at the flywheel, never got whp because it would lift off dynos and break things. But on low boost (~650whp) it would do rolling burnouts at 100 and on the tune that made 1100 it blew tires apart. That was with a 76gts but pushing the limits of the turbo and lots of backpressure. If I was building one again I would go with an 88. You could probably save some money with a GT42 or even a 45 or something similar because of the hybrid style. Putting down 1000 is just for bragging rights, it stops becoming usable power at 700. Have fun with the truck and buy spare tires
