Exhaust silencing Would anyone know how to make a 632 a little bit more Neighborhood friendly me and a buddy wanna build a 632 3rd gen firebird with twin turbos as our drag car in the next couple years when we can afford too but we live in a subdivision/mini neighborhood we want to do a full straight pipe exhaust 3" straight back from motor to bumper how could we quiet it down on cold start without doing a muffler or resonator or cat going for full performance we do have some neighbors with mildly loud cars IE BMW a couple silverados and a bike but no one with a big block hints this post please don't hate looking for options cause we don't wanna buy a whole new place to live atleast not yet

Check out Flow master Flow FX mufflers. They do really good on toning down sound of a big cam engine yet they still flow very well and dont drone terribly. Also adding in a catalytic converter has helped some people, even if it is a high flow cat. I belive flow master sells an Xpipe muffler combination too if you would want that in your system too.

I don't know what the aversions to catalytic converters and mufflers are, because there are options out there that don't hinder performance. If you have to have straight pipes, then I would invest in a valved muffler that can offer exactly that at the push of a button.
