Looking for an aftermarket converter with a stall range around 2400 due to the cam specs. What are some decent converters you all have used with good results. Im not wanting to spend big money here but I do want quality and reliability. For reference I’ve been looking into b&m tork master, Hughes tow master, and jegs. For budget I’m trying to stay $600 and below. Truck will be used as daily and tow a 30’ camper in the future. It is setup with a transgo hd2 kit, superior brand super servo, larger trans cooler, 4.11 gears, 33” tires. It is a k1500 3 door truck with a fresh 355 with 10.5:1 static compression. Any other details? Thanks for any input.
While I understand that you don't want to spend big money on the converter, honestly this is the one part of a combination where you should.
The cam and converter must work together so spend money there.
I've been working with Circle D on my turbo car, and they've been great.
They're Pro LS converter has gone farther than it's supposed to power wise, so they get my vote.
PTC is also highly recommended although I've never had any luck getting a hold of anyone there to spec me a converter.
