Check out my combo! 468" bbc with hogged out oval port heads, strip dominator intake port matched with 1" spacer, 10.5 to 1 compression, comp cams hyd roller cam(part #11-470-8) 252, 252, lsa 110, lift is .612", roller rockers, holley 850 with annular boosters to help out down low, hooker super comp 2 1/8" primaries to 3.5" collectors, msd digital box. Engine is backed by an autogear M-22 with iron midplate back to a moser Ford 9" with 4.10 gear hung with Hotchkis suspension goodies. Combo is in a 66 GTO. I am hoping for around 575 hp and high 10's in the quarter. What do you guys think?

Sounds like a good combo. I'd say the et and hp #s are close, but of course it depends on the potential to get all the power to the ground, and if you can drop the clutch at a good rpm and it hook, bang the gears hard and quick, then the time could happen. What's your weight? (I'm guessing close to 4000 lbs if not much lightening has been done)

All the calculators I have tried are putting it right around high ten's low 11's...provided I can hook and drive. 4000# 550hp 5800 thru the lights on a 28" tire. Obviously its all hypothetical at this point. I was debating on running a taller tire but after looking at these calculators, I think the 28" will get me where I want to be.

dude at that weight you'll need almost 600 to the wheels to get a 10.99 and that's not taking into consideration you're rowing the gears in a transmissions thats not the fastest to shift. expect 11.80's or so if you get the car to hook good.

This motor went 10.70's in a 69 Camaro running a 400 with 4.10's. Granted, the camaro is lighter but I have taken that into account. Like I said previously, this is all speculation at this point. 68maro, how are you calculating that number. I have been using the calculator on the richmond gear website to try to figure out my gear and tire height selection. Is there a better calculator for me to use.

you do realize it calculates rwhp so if you input 575hp at 4000 lbs the calculator assumes you mean 575rwhp which would be like 680 at the flywheel
