Default Is this possible??

I have a 1987 Silverado, and I'd like to try something different with it, like replacing the 350 in it now with a grand national engine. Does anyone know how difficult this swap is and if there is any professional fabrication involved? Any tips and or opinions are welcome.

Thanks in Advanced.

??? i dont know man...i think that would kind of be ..well..i dont know how to say it..not cool..i mean yes..that engine would be great..in something else..if you want to do something cool, build another 350 and put a custom efi setup on it and maybee a procharger or something. Lots easier and much more power potential..dont get me wrong..the gn engines are awesome, but i just think sticking with a v8 would be sweet..but it is your ride and if you want to do it, i say go for it,,,there will probably be some stumps along the way..good luck

One thing for sure, with determination and a welder, anything is possible. The gn engine would be hard to find and likely cost some $$$, unless you have one lying around, compared to a supercharged small block. But it definately would be different.

you can get a gm perfomance 350ci ram jet crate engine from jegs for $4,900
350hp & 400lb/ft of torque or i think edelbrock has an efi crate engine for $8,800 or just the efi setup for like 900-1000$
