cc306? i have a '91 350 with vortec heads, performer rpm intake and a 700 double pumper. it's around 9.75:1 comp. i'm using a stock 94 LT1 cam in it. it's in my 83 2wd chevy truck. i have a th350 with a tci 3500 stall convertor. 3.42 gears(4.10's soon) the truck weighs 3740 without driver and half tank of gas.
i'm looking to get into the 12's with it, will the CC306 cam work well? i want a nice mean lope.

Should work out nice with 4.10 gears instead of the 3.42's. It has a beautiful lope/rasp to it. If you can find a little more compression, I'd do that also. Maybe Mill the head or thinner gasket. be sure to check piston to valve clearance also because that's no baby cam.
