Default SBC and LT1 engine mount ?????

Are the mounting locations on a regular SBC and an LT1 the same? I'm looking at putting a SBC into my '94 v6 car, and since i need a new k-member anyways, might as well get a tubular aftermarket one that was intended for the LT1. Thanks for any info!

The LT1 in the 93-97 F-bodies uses mounts which are located further back on the block than traditional SBC. The bosses for the 4th gen F LT1 motor mounts do not exist on 55-02 Gen I SBC blocks. In short, no you cannot bolt a SBC up to LT1 f-body mounts & cradle, but SBC & BBC have been done in the 4th gen, ask around.

To touch up more on this my Solid motor mounts use the typical Triangle pattern found one any 55-up SBC (Including LT1). These are solid mind you, but would adapt without a problem. If you want more info on these drop me an email and I'll point you in the right direction.
