L-98 injector fire sequence

Default L-98 injector fire sequence

I know that the L-98 is batch fire but does anyone know what cyl. injectors fire together?

I think it fires one bank at a time(right,then left) Anyone else? Its been a while since i've owned a tpi car.

they cant all fire at the same time? the timing from the 1st cyl to fire to the last would be too far off

it fires bank to bank. left side, right side, left side, right side, and repeat. i THINK the very last year was sequential. i think.

And therein lies the reason why TPI sucks compared to SEFI

It basically works like a Carb, the cylinders just pull in the available fuel when the intake valve opens. There's no premeasured amount of fuel for each cylinder, or timing for the injectors to open on each specific cylinder.

There really isnt much difference bank vs SEFI. SEFI only helps at idle and low RPMs, once you got WOT SEFI is pretty much batch fire.

Inside the ECM, the injector drivers are wired together. It's 8 all at once batch fire. That includes the 85, 86-89, and 90-92 ECMs.
