Thumbs down 502 RAM Jet dyno...200+ whp

so ive got a buddy thats a ford lover....aand he said he had something eyeopening to show me. So he proceeds to do so....out comes this old recording of a horsepower T.V. episode, where they swap a Ram Jet 502 into a 63' vette....and they manage to dyno 220+ hp ....how the *** LOL!!! 55-60% drivetrain loss lol i was speechless... Comments.

Obviously something was wrong with the setup or the motor.

Those engines make a hell of a lot more power than that.

Hell, you can get 220HP out of an 80's 305 with a few mods. Not even in the ballpark for a Ram jet 502.

My ZZ502 with the basic pkg put down 437 through a TH400. Of course, that was many mods and two combos ago.

I have the ramjet long block in my 98 k3500 with the vortec injection on top. It absolutely will flat fuggin fly compared to the stock 454 it had in it. It's been in it for five years and has 120k on it and still going strong. Typical bigblock though it uses about a quart every 1k miles or so but it has done that since it was brand new. Ford guys screwed up somewhere and all hate to lose to a bowtie. One of these days I am going to used the ramjet injection stuff on a chevelle with a built 454 but we'll see.
