I had an '81 Malibu with a 350 th-350 combo, and it weighed a little over 3300 with a full tank. It did not have any power options though. I wouldn't guess it wold be too far from that.
+1 on 3.42's. MCSS with 3 speed autos had 3.42 gears, while 4 speed autos had 3.73's.

Should be 3.42, possibly an optional 3.73. I know at least all 87-88 Monte SSs came with 3.73. Unless you mean the actual size...then all SSs came with the 7.5" rear unlike the GNs and some other G-bodies that had the 8.5" rear which is a lot better.
For weight, I thought it was around 3800 or so, but I may be wrong.

Definetly check on montecarloss.com if you've got a monte. It's an awesome site those guys can help you with anything. Yeah you have 3.42's I believe it was 86 and up that had the 3.73's maybe even 85 and up but I know 83 and 84 had 3.42's.
