help me choose how do i choose a cam for a sbc? i kinda understand how to choose one for my 5.3 but the old small blocks are completely different. heres kinda what i'm looking at doing. small block 350 in an s-10. i want some pretty nice lope, somewhat of a high revving engine for stree/strip. do i want hyd/roller, solid, or solid roller? can someone explain this stuff to me. how do i choose? thanks

I would check out comps XR288HR or XR294HR bolth are retrofit hydralic roller cams. should rev pretty good.
Why not put a 5.3 (cheep to find) and stuff a 224/224 or bigger cam in there.
