BigBlock Engine Combo? Ok here is my plans me and my best friend are getting ready to put a bbc in his 76 chev 1/2ton short box 2wd, the truck has a 12bolt 4.10 gear rear end and a new th350, we have a 73 454 two bolt bottom end, the objective with the trcuk is to street drive it and take it to the strip on the weekends, we would like to get the truck in this et time frame 12.90-13.40 some were in that ball park, the truck weighs approx 4600lbs any ideas on the engine combo (using iron oval port heads)any ideas would be appreciated including carb and intake suggestions, piston, cam, springs, retainers, we are problally going to try to stick with the stock crank if we can. This is in no means going to be a race only vehicle it will also be driven on the street, but not a daily driver.
