BBC Vic Jr. Intake
Thanks,
Anthony
That's how we do alot of the Big Chief stuff when we use sheet metal intakes.
We actually have to drill & weld the head, but it's the same idea.
We use a -12 line into a manifold.

When I said manifold, I meant a manifold, not the intake manifold. It has the same name, sorry. It is a separate y-block type adapter so you can combine both -12 lines into a radiator hose then into radiator. I did see one time at the track a guy that welded 2 -12 fittings into his radiator so he did not have a manifold. I have never seen anyone build one with a therm because these are usually only big time motors with electric pumps and towed up to the line type cars. I know an adapter can be built with a therm, it would have to be a 2 piece and probably need someone with a mill to cut a recessed area into the Y-block. Wish I knew how to draw. Good luck.

We are using aftermarket heads, we drill in the the water chamber. Some guys tap the head, I like to weld a bung so you have more meat & threads. My good camera is broke & I can't find my work one. If I can't find this week I'll go buy a new one this W/E then I can show you anything you need. I was taught use a -12 line, so you would have to tap for what size the -12 fitting uses. I've also seen some guys that didn't want to drill their $10,000 heads, so they drilled and taped the sheet metal intake. I don't see why you can't use those holes or tap into the crossover, from the top or side, whichever way clears best & will still have enough meat to tap. You don't need a leak.
