Default ZZ4 Power

Hey guys,

I'm wondering how much power the bottom end of the ZZ4 crate motor can hold? And if the rods and pistons won't last, at least can I know how much power the forged crank can hold? Thanks guys

Dave

I'd throw a 150 shot at a ZZ4 and wouldn't think twice about it.

I've seen the bottom end making 500+ NA with some bad *** heads and a nice sized roller, as long as you don't go too crazy on the rpms.

I've seen the rods bend twice in 3500lbs cars going mid-high 10's on nitrous. Probably in the 500rwhp range? No destruction other than toasted bearings and bent rods. The crank is never the problem when it's got stock rods and hyper pistons bolted to it..The pistons are frail.

So you're saying the pistons and rods can possibly hold up to ~450rwhp?

And thanks for the fast responses guys ...and kyle.
