power brakes and steering?
power brakes and steering? I am looking at possibly selling my car and getting a 60's or 70's car. most of the ones I have been looking at though don't have power brakes or power steering. And I figured this would be the best place to ask as most of the threads in here are about older cars with sb's and bb's.
I was wondering how hard it is to convert to power steering and power brakes and also, how bad is it driving with no power steering or power brakes?

Not hard to drive without power brakes if you get used to it. Steering is an iffy based on yuor level of comfort. I don't mind not having either, not having the belt drag or weight and the less clutter to work on stuff.
Swapping to power brakes and power steering is easy, as most '60s-70s bracket set-ups are available in original form, or you can use pulley and bracket set-ups from March, Zoops, and a few others. If you need help and it's a GM car, let me know what car and set-up, and I can give you a ballpark on what's available and cost and where you can find it.

and it's on a plymouth, oh and if it's not an original a/c car is there any aftermarket a/c kits that are good and pretty cheap

My first two cars (a '72 Chevelle and '70 Nova) didn't have powerbrakes, and with 4 wheel drums you get used to how to operate them. They did have power steering, but I don't think power steering is that big a deal now. I'm sure it would make the daily commute a little better with both things power, and there are companies that sell power conversions kits for the brakes, as well as disc brake swap kits for increased braking performance. I'm not too Mopar savvy, but Vintage Air, Hot Rod Air and Classic Auto Air are the major companies I think of for A/C conversions.
