Default Cheapest/best FI setup for SBC

I am looking to do some sort of fi on my car and i was curious as to which route i should take. My car is already setup to have fi, it has:
-head studs w/mls head gaskets
-9:1 cr
-fuel system good to 800+hp
-built bottem end
-built drivetrain
Basically all i need to make 600-800whp is in place, I have considered several options such as:
-Junkyard turbo setup(i.e. diesel turbo+home fabbed piping)
-Centrifugal
-roots
-Ebay turbo setup(i.e. cheap *** $1000 tt kit)
I want opinions and lots of em, I have a budget of no more than $2,000 and I want to maintain reliability and driveability.

Take one of those blower motors out of a car and box it in, run ducting into your intake and WAM! you got electronic controlled boost.....

Ok, i hope you got a laugh J.

Seriously, i personally was wanting to look into doing a custom rear mount turbo one day, i thought it would be cool. I still have allot of research to do but i think it would be awesome for the street since you have a bit of lag as to not just start roasting tires immediately. But, i would definitely go with a supercharger if i had the bling.

Turbo's would be the way to go if you could find a affordable system to use. You should be able to get about 10 lbs. of boost (maybe more depending on fuel type) before needing a intercooler. Unless your able to change out the exhuast impeller on that deisel turbo I wouldn't reccommend it. When I looked into it Garrett turbo told me that a gasoline motor doesn't put out enough exhuast velocity to be able to turn the impeller fast enough to work properly. They said that they had to slow down the exhuast side to keep from breaking the shaft off at the head of the impeller on their deisel applications. I'm not saying that they can't be run, I just telling you that they might not run properly. Which could really frustrate the hell out of you trying to figure out why you can't get things to work right.

Its 1300 with ok turbo's which u would normally be paying just about if not mre than that for the turbos them selves. Im gonna buy it once the motorcycle is paid off for my '70 chevelle, just my 2 cents

Here is an example of one of the ebay setups http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DUAL-...spagenameZWDVW
Or here is another http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevy...spagenameZWDVW
I wouldnt expect much from one but you cant complain for $500-$1000 for a tt kit!
