Default Whats the largest intake valve I can run?

With a standard 350ci SBC bore and a 1.600 exhaust valve, what is the largest intake valve that can be run?

Rule of thumb is 51-52% of the bore size. That would be in the 2.05 to 2.08 range.

IC, well the heads I was looking at had 2.08 intake valves. Do you know if there are any issures with that large of a valve not clearing a stock size bore? Or is it just that the flow of the heads will be hurt from not having as much area around the valve?

The larger the bore the more the valve will be unshrouded and flow will be better. 2.08" is about the largest you want on a stock 4.000" bore.

When you step up to a 4.125 bore then you can look into the 2.10 valves, big nasty, better have a bump stick to makem work.
