Default Considering different cam - DCR discussion

I have posted on here before about my 406 engine, and as Shawn suggested I am looking into swapping out my camshaft. Using a dynamic compression calculator that I found on this site, I calculate that my engine has 10.1 static compression and 7.24 with my Isky solid roller. Competition cams recommended a 266/274 with .630" lift, +4° solid roller, and it calculates to 8.37 DCR. While this looks good on paper, when I compared the two cams in my engine on Dyno2000, there is very little difference in power or torque. Should I trust the engine software, or do you all think it is flawed. I am not too excited about spending $330 on a new cam if there isn't going to be much improvement.
