Question about torque converter
I want to install my engine (350 cui) back to my chevy.
I heard, that I can make some mistakes during installing the torque converter.
What is important to take care about? What do I have to avoid?
My Torque converter is full with oil. Is this normal? Do I have to substitue the oil?
Thanks for your help.

Most people put a qt in before firing engine. If it's fresh or you know it's clean & no metal, leave it.
Installing is easy. When you put it on the pump, make sure it seats below bell. Sometimes you have to spin
back & forth to find the groove. After installing trans, measure gap between flex plate pad & converter pad.
I was taught the gap should equal 3/16". If the gap is more, I use washers to make up the difference.
Put in the bolts, washers & slide converter forward & tighten up. Hope I helped, good luck.
