I have a cousin that is at LSU for it. He seems to like it. Although LSU is a major party school and it can get hard to concentrate. I am going to UL in lafayette and I love it. You should consider it.

I am at LA Tech in Biomedical Engineering. It is a good school, but if you are set on the Petro-Chemical Engineering , then LSU is the way to go. My cousin graduated from there and got a good job in TX.
