Reasonable labor cost?
Reasonable labor cost? I got quoted a price of about $1040 to remove my stock engine and put a 383 long block that I bought in its place. Of course the FAST 90/90 from my stock engine will be moved over to the 383. I know the accessories will have to moved over to the 383 also. Does that sound reasonable for labor? I'll be providing everything, oil, coolant, etc.
I was also quoted a price of $240 to put in a different cam in the 383 before its installed in my car.

i think engine removal with re-installation is quoted at 8 hours of labor plus swapping all the other components etc would probably be about 10 hours of labor...so $104 an hour and if they know what they're doing, that is a good deal. what shop is this?
