I was up there both Friday and Saturday. I was in the SOM Formula. It was also one of the worst I recall. It seems every year there are more and more family cars and less street muscle, be it fast old cars, new age muscle, or even fast imports. Just seems to be a lot of people, but not very many nice cars. Not everyone has to have a show winner or anything, but in years past such as 02-05 there was some serious horsepower up there. What really killed it for me was the amount of family cars cruising the strip backing up traffic. Nothing wrong with it in my opinion, but it just bunches up traffic which makes the faster cars not want to come out for fear of overheating, thus leaving you cruising in the midst of common streetcars and a bunch of families. I like to see the big cube guys on the good juice get out and rumble around. Every year seems to be less and less of them.

I didn't go this year. It's just not the same it was 10 years ago. I considered going out on Friday afternoon, but I had a few beers at the house and did yard work instead.

x200. Your post is pretty much the reason I don't go much anymore. Traffic, traffic, and more traffic. do a burnout, get a ticket, girls fash, get a ticket. Pick your nose at an unapproved intersection, get a ticket.

Got a lot of good memories though!
