Bumping this thread for some up-to-date feedback on DMS. Is David still in business and doing good work? I have a 6.0L iron block that needs to be torque plate honed for some new pistons.

Does this shop do CNC porting/polishing, if not how is his hand porting? I'm thinking about giving him a call and getting a quote.

A cylinder hasn't been "polished" in 20 years at least.

He does hand porting only.

He does great work and is fair.

Thanks for the answer.

Just wondering, Why do people still say port and polished then? There's a guy selling some heads and he says they have been p/p.

Looks like I'll be trying out David's Machine Shop next week. Bringing him my old LS3 block for a winter build project.

To the best of my knowledge, he's the only one with a LS torque plate within a couple hundred miles of the Pensacola/Fort Walton/Destin area.

Just a phone call with him it was obvious he knows LS motors.

I was very pleased with the machine work done to my 6.0L iron block and the balancing of the new rotating assembly. David is an easy guy to talk to and knows his stuff.
