Good job Tim. It runs better if you make that little hole bigger for Becky. It lets more air in. LOL... nice pic.

Hey Becky, if you ever change your cam, look me up, I'll buy it from ya. That cam should compliment my AS heads pretty well. Just a thought.

I bet is would go good with your heads! I have it on a 573/575 lift so it isn't too bad on the springs....but it sure pulls hard. We have found that you don't need a real high lift to get a lot power in the LS1s. Do you have your new cam yet? If not we can get that one or somethings else custom ground for you. Do you remember what specs. Jay said would be good with those heads?

Basically the same #'s you have. It was something like 230-236 .575/.575 114+2 lsa. But I have no idea what all the other details are which is what makes a cam perform. I won't see that cam from Jay. I am trying to get my money back through the CC company. We set the heads up to perfom with a lift up to .575. I agree with you, the lower lifts are easier on the springs and lifters. So I want to stay with a lift in the .57x range.

So......what do you have in mind? Not going to be easy to improve on your car. You already have a monster car that beats up on even "blown" cars. lol

Maybe something in the 230 range! Not to radical. I still want to keep my power on the bottom too.

I sure like my 230/232 cam! But not much bigger than what you have now.

What "blown" car did he beat? Is there a kill story I missed? Just curious, since I haven't heard anything lately.

Just got back from the shop. Installed the c5 brakes with the red zo6 calipers. Man does it look good behind those chrome 10 spokes. All I have to do now is order some high temp brake fluid, bleed, and attach the c5 brake hoses. Will post of some pics tomorrow. Also finished up on my tb. Since Absolute Speed didn't fill the holes nor cut the tb shaft, I took it upon myself to epoxy the tb. Plus ported it some more. Now all I need to do is drill the holes and add the last coat off gloss black to it. Will try to fire it up this week before I tear the intake off and start the paint and aluminum fuel rails.

A good relaxing afternoon. Now, these are the days I enjoy.

And a plus...LeAnn (my daughter) helped me throughout the afternoon. She torqued the bolts, coated the anti-sieze, read the instructions, and mixed the epoxy for me. What a car girl. She is going to grow up loving the bow-tie. Hope she turns out loving the f-body like you Becky.
