Default The Curse Continues

The year one bash was cool..lots of nice cars and people..a real large turn out...but Jasons car..BLKWS6 with the new 408 was plagued with problems..clutch was not acting right and the tow vehicle's tranny took a crap at the Commerce exit on I 85.. ...Bobby.. WILE_Y ran a personal best of 11.53 and modeled his new fire jacket... ..it was a great oppertunity to make a lot of passes for only $10..if ya didn't make this one ya otta try to make the next one...very few ricers in attendence...V8's make a more pleasant noise..

Man that sux! I am so anxious to see what Jason's car does! I am glad bobby ran his best time last night! Who wants to bet money that he has the fever for some 10 second timeslips and starts modifying that beast some more.

How did you do Steve? Did you get some MT ET Streets to run on?

That sucks, I felt bad for Jason.

Once again, the idiot police were not out at Commerce and there was confusion while teching my car. They told me I didn't need a fire jacket until 11.49 along with a cage. I had one and didn't wear it because they said I didn't have to. After my first 11.5 run, they told me to go back to tech. I made 2 more runs and heard te guy hollering about me on the radio. It was quitting time anyway. I didn't get to bed until around 12:30 and got up at 3:15 to go to work. I just now got home and I'm about to leave to go to my son's baseball party. I need some sleep!

I had a good time though.

I wanted to hit an 11.4. My new best is only .03 better than what I ran at SDR.

Anyway, I would bet on it because I'm content with what I have right now. If I go any faster, they're going to make me put a cage in the car and I don't want to do that. Plus, I don't have the money for a stronger rearend which I'd definitly need to hit a 10. I already have the jets for a 150 shot.

You can always make the long haul to Silver Dollar. I know its a drive for you, but they don't enforce the roll cage rule. You can generally get many more passes in at SDR also. Just food for thought.

I don't mind the drive, it's just that I work very early in the morning as well as weekends. That's what keeps me from going down there instead of Commerce.

Are sure about SDR and the cage rule?
