Thanks David. I have been a bit speechless the last couple of days, shock I guess. lol But, I am coming out of it now. A plan is coming together to get it aleast all put back together with all forged/racing parts. Have to see what the $$$$$ are before I know if I can go with the 383 strocker, but I am hoping that's what I can do.

I hate to here that. Have any idea when it happened and what might have caused it to spin the bearing ? You haven't been hitting the bottle a little to much have you? Hey, I got an idea why don't you run NL's car???

Becky, my guess, and only a guess, is a rod bolt probibly has stretched a little allowing the loss of oil pressure in one journal and therefore the spun bearing. Only a guess though. I have read the stock rod bolts don't hold up to well to high rpm use. Plus add the gobbs of torque your making.

Are you going to look into a 408. Its basically the same parts if you are planning the Eagle route. A stroked 383, from what I have seen, costs almost the same as the iron stoker. Then again, its not my wallet.

Hope you can see some light at the end of the tunnel.

Hey, are you up to watching other people break stuff on Thursday night? I am thinking about heading down.

I hope your car feels better soon Becky, I really hated being without mine for a while . You have her up and snarling again at the next moostang that trys to get one up on ya.

This is just a good excuse to get good parts and make her faassssseeerrrrr

Don't worry we feel your pain with our broken SS, guess its that time of year to start breaking things

I guess if something happens to mine which I am not taking it back to the track until after next year I would need a lot of to make myself feel better...LOL!

That's exactly what NL thinks happened. And like Sly said, it was so hot on Sunday and the oil was probably real thin which made it all REAL bad. NL changed his oil today to a thicker oil (10w 50 I think?) and will keep it there until the weather cools down some. lol And you can bet he will NOT let me drive his down the track now!!! lol

We are still checking on prices and see what we can swing. After rebuilding the rear-end and the tranny, all this is getting a little much now. After the car started knocking so bad and I got it off the road before it died, I thought...I should just put a for sale sign on her and leave her there!!! ...........NOT.........she's my car, and I will keep her! For better or for worst! lol

If I sold my home, and I wanted a divorce from my wife, you would have yourself a deal. But then again, my place is still up for sale, and I actually like having Angie around. And just to think, my motor has only 13xxx miles on it. LOL

All will work out to the better. It just seems the NOS has gotten the better of you and your car.

Becky let me hear it for just a second tonight. It sounds bad. I am hoping its just a bearing and a bad rod end.

Keep us updated on what the final plans will be for the Hawk.
