Need Help..

OK here is the problem.. I went to do a trans swap in my camaro A4.. This is a very easy job.. Well i get everything unbolted and then take the starter off to unbolt the TC. I get the first two bolts out and i spin the flexplate to the third bolt (remember these are 8mm alan head bolts) And the damn thing is already stripped. So i call my buddy who is a head mec. at infiniti. he says to take a star bit and beat it in there and that should work.. DIDN'T WORK... What now the only idea i have left is to weld a nut to the bolt and turn it that way.. Does anyone know how to weld or have any other ideas.

Try a impact driver.

i tried an extractor already to the hole is more or less round now..

I am speaking of a impact(screwdriver) that you can insert the correct size TQ bit(or one slightlylarger) to get it to break loose. If that dos'nt work you can possibly use a chisle/punch to break the bolt losse. I have used both methods with equal success,good luck. Ken
