Go check and see what a aluminum flywheel for an LS2 cost..cheepest I could find was $400..then check and see what a spec 3 or your choice for an aftermarket clutch goes go..you can't get close to $500 dude..

The pressure plate and clutch disc assembly are sold in sets and the part number is 24233650..the LS2 flywheel part number is 12571611..the LS1 pilot bearing part number is 14061685
What is your point I found them for $400 and still don't want one...I have a street car I don't want a race clutch in it..the LS7 clutch will be perfect for my application..I have already talked with guys that have installed this set up and are perfectly happy with the results..to me a good strong clutch with good street manners for $500 is a bargan..
I'm sure it's good for 550 hp at the flywheel yes?Jim

I would think so..the LS7 engine is 505 at the carnk and that is the power level for the worst one that is ever built..they will consistently put out more than the 505..one of my customers drove his car directly to a speed shop and put it in the dyno and it made 455RWHP bone stock with 545 miles on it...if you use a 12% loss in the powertrain..it looks like the motor is making about 520 or so at the crank..I would guess that GM has built enough room in the clutch to handle 550 or more...I will let you know just as soon as I put the new clutch in..the parts came in today..gotta get off my phatt *** and turn some wrenchs..
