Talking Camaro Project Progress!!

Well here are the pics of the progress made on the Camaro. I started taking off all the accessories, exhaust, etc. two weekends ago. I also did a little body work as the pics show to get out all of the imperfections in the body. Docspeed came over today to help me pull the engine out. I had everything disconnected including all but 2 of the bellhousing to engine bolts. I expected us to get up there and be finished in about an hour and a half. Well, we ran into a snag with the transmission that we did not expect. After screwing with it for a while we decided to head for Taco Bell to let our bodies recharge. Once we got back we got our heads on straight and before we knew it the engine was out. It was not bad at all (especially compared to that Vette of Tommy's). We pulled it from the top and did not even have to take the hood off. I'll be disassembling the engine and sending the bottom end to a speed shop in Cumming for a rebuild. Should send the heads and intake off shortly after that. Here are some pics as she sets now. Thanks again to Tommy (Docspeed) for coming over and helping out ! Enjoy

Had Tommy (Docspeed) not had to go to work tonight, there would probably (no DEFINATELY) have been about 12 empty Bud Ice Light bottles laying all around the garage

The question is...how many beer bottles did you break out of frustration?

Surprisingly, I only got pissed once. So did Tommy. For some damned reason the transmission would not out of the engine. Phucked with it for a while and I was getting ill Thats when we decided to take a lunch break and get our heads straightened out.

That's probably a good idea...usually when you are mad people tend to mess things up more than fix the problems lol. I cant wait to see this thing running, keep us posted!

Sadly it'll be a while... everytime i get a good bit of money in it's another thing i gotta spend it on. Luckily I have a dependable DD for now until I get the money... hopefully I'll be getting a new job in a few months, and that will really help. Also, christmas and my birthday are all this week so that means even more cash .

What's up Chris! Glad to see you around again. Its been pretty slow going for me on my project now. Things are moving along pretty well and I should have everything done (God willing). Have you started work on your engine yet?

Engine is still down the road a bit. Going to do it last of everything (except paint), finishing the drivetrain and suspension first
