need help with my 98 camaro
need help with my 98 camaro can anyone remove the speed limiter on my 98 camaro. its a 6 speed but somehow it will cut out at the top of 4th which is about 110-115mph. i live northeast of atlanta in lawrenceville. thanks Brian

That is becasue your car when it came from the factory had the cheepest lowest speed rated tires on it..mine was the same way..wouldn't run over 118 MPH... I had mine edited out using LS1 edit..

So that if some moron was out driving 140 MPH and a tire let go and got himself or someone else killed they would have no liability issues to deal with..when you are a OEM you have to deal with theat kind of ****...V8 F body cars will run way past 118 MPH in stock configuration..higher speed rated tires were available and those cars that came equipted with them did not have speed limiters set that low..beleive it or not some people do not drive these cars as fast as they will go.
