id say a big stall before any of those but i said go with the wheels and tires. maybe find a good set of rear wheels and tires and get a stall. you can get both for about the same as a cam+valvetrain needed for the swap

Get a 60 month signature loan from your bank for $5000 @ $119 per month and buy a D1 tuner kit. Screw a cam and bolt-ons. If I could do it again that what I would do if I could go back. I'm spending on a Procharger anyway soon.

i voted cam, but a stall would be a good upgrade. And if you run a big cam you got to have one anyways.

Or just save your money for the kit, I dont get why some will go deeper into debt to pay back a loan for some car parts. Just my opinion.

Yeah, let him wait 5 years to save ( assuming he'll be able to never touch a penny). Or if his car is payed off, what's a crummy $119 per month?

Just an idea. Bolt-ons and high hp all-motor mods aren't on the same drivability level as FI. Don't preach to me, it was an idea.

Definitely a stall for an A4 if you don't have one yet.

Yeah, like was already said, a converter. Also you could put in a shift kit and beef up that tranny a little.

$119 * 60 = $7140..

Shoot, I wish.. I took $5000 for 3 years and it was $183/mo.. Still $6588 total. I regret ever doing it.. just now finally got it paid off.. took me 2 1/2 years, cuz I paid double a few times.

Just save for whatever you do. Not worth $2000 hard earned dollars to take a loan, IMO.

peace,
Josh

I disagree totally. After driving the Ta w/ the procharger on it, sure it made good power on the dyno, but real world driving it seemed faster w/ the cam, and it wasnt even close with the nitrous. It seemed like it was hard to keep it on max boost.

I choose cam then converter.. or nitrous then cam then converter.

5000 doesnt even cover the full cost of the basic kit, let alone tuning, injectors, and pump. So I would venture over 6 grand. I wasnt preaching to anyone, he can do whatever he wants to.

I don't lknow anyone that pays full price for anything.

Fuel pump... Racetronix in tank with new wiring harness and all. $250
Fuel injectors on this board... $200 or less.
Tuner kit $3-4xxx with everything on this board, or turbo kit on this board.

Hell brand new form EPP I was quoted $4600 shipped!

You can boost with $5k and still have more room to grow.
