Default Old-school brake experts?

I have an old 82' Sierra truck. The front passenger brake caliper was sticking hard, so i replaced both calipers, brake pads, rotors, etc. And it still stuck. I was thinking that maybe i didnt bleed them well enough to begin with so i did that again, there is hardly any fluid getting to that side at all.

It took a little time for me to realize this, but i had no idea that these trucks had something called a proportioning valve? I wasnt able to get it off cleanly, so i ended up cutting all the brakes lines off of the valve at each fitting and now i have this old rusted proportioning valve... i found a new one online... but what i am asking is if there is anyone that you all know of that has experience or know-how of the older brake systems with manual proportioning valves that could do this for me, i dont really know about flareing the lines and getting these brakes to work properly. I would glady pay to have it fixed or for someone to help, i really dont know what im doing with it... any input would be appreciated.

**also, i know that it could possibly be the master cyl. as well, but wouldnt it cause some sort of a failure to more than just the front passenger brake? i've inspected the lines coming from the master cyl. and it looks to be fine.

Yes, check the slider pins. You can use emory cloth to smooth them up and put some antisieze on them. Also, double check the lines. Just because they look good outside doesn't mean that they aren't clogged on the inside. If the lines are hooked up you loosen that side and mash the peddle and see if any fluid comes out the line, you'll have ta have someone help you. Good luck and I hope you get it fixed.

The flexiable rubber lines that run from frame to caliper will come apart internally and cause all kinds of weird problems like no brakes or brakes that stay locked up or drag badly.

i forgot about that rubber part of the hose, i bet that was it, i didnt even have to mess with the proportiong valve... I found a guy that would do it on the side and take his time with it (since its no rush to get the truck running) i might just get him the parts and let him take care of it.

thanks for the help.
