Turbo's are where it is AT! ! Notice how quiet and docile all of them are. No need to sound like you have enough compression to make a diamond.
Notice all automatics ! Trying to launch a 6 speed twin turbo cobra sucks. It would jump up, fall on it's face for about 2 seconds then hit and go. I tried the manual trans turbo thing, didnt' work out for me. I've had 2 major surgeries on my right hand and my right wrist has seen a few stand up wheelies come down hard with all my weight on it. Shifting the 6 speed was becoming more and more a job than enjoyment. I raced quite a few TA's on the intestate. The would nail it and roll out about a car then my wastegate would open and scare the **** out of them when i came by. Turbos are so expensive, but they are the way to go. Once you get some experience with them and understand their potential, there is no limit to what you can do.
Think about it, you build a huge motor that makes power with compression. It's shitty on gas, when you're mad you stomp it and it's always taking abuse, not to mention expensive on parts.
Build a small motor, low low compression, and you have a controller in the car that can make you have 400 hp or 1500 hp at the turn of a ****. No bottles to fill. No belts to slip and chew up. After my first kit i was hooked. If someone is beating you, ask to go again and turn the **** up a little bit

Is anyone else down here sick? I'm ******* miserable. Half my office is sick, wife is sick, parents are sick. Gotta have some flu strain going around.
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time

Am I the only person on the planet that seems to remember that chevy chose to use cubic inches and ford chose to use built internal with a charger?? 281 cubic inches.....8.2 compression???? I mean seriously..how fast do you expect a car with barely enough compression NA to combust the cylinder???
apples to apples don't be mad ford chose to move to OHC technology and chevy is still pushrod and cubic inches. I remember the days when cubic inches ruled, but i've just seen an OUTLAW class car *not ours* take a gt500 motor with stock heads reground cams 331 cubic inch motor with a modified block (cylinders machined out then filled with block concrete) make almost 2000 hp with twin 88's through untouched heads. The possibilities are endless. If you owned a cobra i promise you that you would change your tune. I had a 94 z28 back in '95. Went mustang and never came back.
